Yeah the very edges of the rear tire do sometimes show a thin wavy line of
different looking scrubbing.  Richard and I were comparing them at Eastern.
I think they all end up like that with some harder use.  I've done it to
every set of GTS's I've had with not ill effects I can detect.  Take that
for what it's worth ;)

Congrats, your burning off the "chicken strips" area of the tire.

BTW, have you worn the edges of your GTSs?  Richard's, before the track,
and mine after, show a "grinding down" on the edge of the tire.   If
yours show this, are you concerned about it????
