[ST] Oil leak question
- Subject: [ST] Oil leak question

I noticed oil dripping from the drain plug the other day and traced it up to
where it looked like it was coming from the transmission out of the shifter. I
looked a little more and it actually seems to be running down from behind the
front sprocket (I guess you would call that the main seal?). I noticed that I
may have adjusted the chain a bit tight (not really though) so I backed it off
erring on the side of being too loose (this has made no difference in the
condition).
I remember some others having this problem a while back but I don't remember
what the fix was.
I would appreciate any input here before I drag it off to the dealer. It's an
'01 ST with only 2500 miles.
Thanks
Steve Bergman
