When you go to a shop to try them, wear your normal riding
leathers/trousers/whatever and make sure you sit down with the boots on.
Otherwise you may find the boots are just too short to keep the wind out
from around your ankles.  Been there, done that, too mean to buy another
pair of boots just yet!
