[ST] What to look for in a used bike.

OK, Ill bite.
"Lost Dawg has uploaded the following file for you to view

Description :-
Close Up of the middle exhaust valvle. Why? Because the list has been to
quite!!"

I'm looking at buying a 2000 Triumph ST with 24954 miles on it. Bike
looks good and seem to be well taken care of. Only one scrape on the can.
Bike is from dealer who has serviced it since new. Serivce records show
replacement of exhaust system under warrenty, repacement of clutch spring.
24K service done
along with all other services done. Chain replaced at 20K. Previous owner
traded it in on a BMW from same dealership. I may be able to get a 4 year
extended warrenty on this bike.
The search archive dosn't seem to be working at the moment so I'll throw
this out to ya'll.
  1. What are the recommend service intervals (miles) on the ST.
  2. When is the next service due and what does it consist of?
  3. Are there any outstanding service (warrenty ) issues with this year
bike?
  4. Does anyone have any idea what the dealer cost of the hard luggage
(Triumph) is.
I'm going to try to get them to throw in the hard luggage with bike and
if not then
try to get it at dealer cost.
  5. The rear shock area looks a little shabby, because there is no rear
wheel hugger. Who makes
the best one and what does it cost? I know I can look at Jack Lilleys
but I want to know if
there are anyothers out there you may have tried.
Thanks for the input.
Al
