RE: [ST] Sync and Revving!!

It is explained Ok, could be better.

Used the cheap Motion Pro Mercury (4 cyl. type). Condensed steps are:

1. remove tank
2. remove air box (the green plug on the right side is a bit of a pain, the
metal clip you see holds the plug to the box, use a small screw driver to
slide it out)
3. remove ribbed hoses going to the top of the Throttle Bodies (tb's)
4. put the hoses from the mercury sticks onto the TB's
5. start bike, you will have to hold the idle by hand as the ribbed hoses
are part of the idle circuit
6. look at the mercury stick, let bike die (or have friend hold the idle)
7. there are 2 large flat/Phillips screw in between each TB, they adjust the
synch, turn a bit, restart bike, see how much of a difference was made, let
bike die, repeat
8. I started from the left and went to the right. Don't really know if it
matters though
9. once you are done, put everything back together, pull bike out into
street and start and let run until its hot, do this three times since your
check engine light will be illuminated (I think both the idle circuit
interruption as well as the air pressure sensor (the green plug I think)
cause this.
10. After third heat cycle, go for a ride. I found a smoother idle, more
willing to be revved and a seeming increase in low end power (this is
probably more mental than anything though).

If this isn't clear or you want more (pics are to be up someday), let me
know.

Yes, tell us more. Did you use the mercury manometer sticks that are
normally used with 4 cylinder scooters?
How did they hook up?
I haven't looked at the shop manual, is it explained in detail there?
