I guess I must have the same raining wheels as Peckham.

1.  On my trip earlier this year across the Pyrenees my companion mounted
on a Pan European grounded his centre-stand.

2.  Even though I was riding faster through the bends on my ST than him on
his Pan I did not notice any parts of my bike touching the ground.

3.  I know another Pan rider who could *easily* beat the pants off me on
my ST.

Ergo..... technique is the critical factor ...... the racetrack may be the
place to explore the limits, the open road is the place to keep some in
reserve, just in case!!!!!!
