Re: [ST] 2002's on MCN

While I love the idea of more power for the RS, I just don't like the looks
of that new motor. It belongs behind a fairing. Looks far too mechanical,
blocky, industrial, lacking any asthetically pleasing symmetry. The small
weight savings, less then 2 kg, wasn't worth the loss of good-looking mill.
Really, just how many bolts does one need to hold a cover on?

I'm still undecided about the silver frame, but I lean toward the contrast
of the black on my yellow bike. It will, however, look great on the black RS
(assuming that's still one of the offered colours.)

Also, the photo is at an angle which makes it hard to discern if the rear
seat & cowl have been changed. They look flattened and squarish. BTW, is
that yellow color (see, I can spell it in both English languages) a bit more
"green" than the current version? Don't like the way it looks on that site,
particularly on the Daytona. A long time ago, I asked if the ST would be
available in Roulette Green or Lighting Yellow, and was told the factory
wouldn't put it on a full-faired bike, too much of those colors wouldn't
look right. Does that hold true for Lucifer Orange? Looks gaudy, but
certainly visible.

My opinions, questions. Yours may vary. ;-)
