i thought y'all just sat around sippin' tequila...  :-)

maybe some other year.  this summer my wife and i did an 11,000 mile
tour (from boston) to the grand canyon and the canadian rockies.  8 weeks,
no accidents, no breakdowns, and virtually no rain.  :-)

(sadly, i didn't take my sprint.  in the time before the trip was to
start, i spent a lot of time and energy trying to make it comfortable
for myself, and as the deadline grew closer, i realized i couldn't
convince myself i'd be happy on it for a trip of that magnitude.  so
i took my VX, which isn't exactly high-tech, but it's a great bike,
and _really_ comfortable.  as my wife pointed out, it was a _motorcycle_
trip, not necessarily a triumph trip.)
