[ST] Next bit of kit for the Trumpet is...

...unfortunately not going to be a sexy, noisy end can...bugger! After this
morning's ride to work which was bloody freezing (only 1 degree Celsius,
that's 34 Fahrenheit for the 'Merikans amongst us) the next bit of kit I'll
be buying will be heated grips. Apart from the temperature the weather is
glorious with beautiful blue skies and lots of sunshine it's just that the
Swedish Autumn is now kicking in big time and it's bloody cold. Mind you I
decided to wear my Triumph Chevron rain suit over my leathers to act as
extra insulation and it worked a treat. My body was toasty warm with no
draughts at well over 140 kph (90 mph) it's just my fingers that were
turning into icicles.

So what are the Trumpet heated grips like?? I seem to remember reading
quite a few comments about one side being signficantly warmer than the
other, is this true?? Also, how easy are they to fit, is it a DIY job or
should I let the dealer do it??

Who's hands have now just warmed up enough to type this email.
