[ST] Court Testimony

>

Steve,

Better watch out on this one. Just picture the lowest, ugliest, most off-base
attack on you from totally out of left-field, and that is what you should expect if
you have to go on the stand, and she has a lawyer. It will throw you totally
off-balance, and you will end up giving evidence that it was your fault, that you
wheelied down the road, and after jumping over two cars, hit her. It really doesn't
matter what happens, since she is not suing you (? yet) but be carefull. If she has
an attorney, his paid job is to find your soft spot anyway he can, and he will, as
that is what he is trained to do. I agree with the affidavit idea, since it saves
you the potential exposure in court, not to mention ruining your day.

My training, is a divorce/custody case spanning over 5 years, and I spent so much
time on the witness stand under my ex-wife's lawyers (who I occassionally even had
the pleasure to pay for inflicting their pain on me), that I was actually beginning
to enjoy being grilled. Stay out of court if you can.
