David,
Never ridden to Alaska, lots of dirt and gravel up there. But I will give
this advice: Electric Clothing! Specifically, Gerbings, you can get a
fully heated jacket liner, pants, "socks" and gloves that all integrate.
Alaska is cold, even in the "good" season. Stay warm, stay safe.
