Hi all,
Sorry folks, but my recent claim that Jonaz Kumlander's AV45F tyre was
facing the wrong direction was incorrect. ~:(
The tyre (as shown at http://portal.t955i.net/portal/uploads/avon-front.jpg)
is correctly mounted.
For fellow doubters, I have the following (edited) post from Leo Smith of
Avon's Technical Department:

as mounted, this tyre is correct
When viewed from the front, the "V" pattern on an AVon tyre will face
DOWNWARDS - contrary to a lot of front tyres from other
manufacturers. This
is the way in which the tyres actually clear most water. Take a tyre and
hold it over your head and then rotate it - this will become
quite apparent
then. All Avon front tyres face this way, and have done for many years

Apologies,
