Hi Linda
Try this. I think you might be pulling in the clutch lever a little late.
I dont know what this has to do with it, but on my 99 Sprint ST, its still
difficult to shift to second gear at 18K. if Im a little late. What I
suggest is to use two fingers to pull the clutch in with. When you do pull
in the clutch lever, just pull it in a little, about half way or so-you may
have to experiment a little. Be ready to shift to second gear BEFORE
pulling in the clutch lever, and as soon as you begin pulling in on the
clutch lever, shift-use a light touch with your foot. Hope it works for
you. It always works for me. Let me know if it works for you.
