None of the items being discussed here are cruise control. They all are
throttle tensioning devices that "lock" the throttle at a desired
setting. Loading changes (i.e. uphill, down hill, wind, etc) will cause
changes in speed. These devise primarily allow the rider to use a loose
grip on the throttle, to help with fatigue. There are true cruise
controls which can be fitted to a bike, but they are much more
expensive.<
Agreed! A true cruise control will alter the engine speed up or down to
maintain a constant speed. I wouldn't want that! I would need one that
speeds up for the corners. :)
