[ST] DIY tires...find a good dealer!

While I always change tires on my dual sport I have been lucky enough to
find a local tire shop that makes it not worth the trouble. When I
bought my Avon Azzaro 35/36 he special ordered them in for me and charged
me $215 for the pair and the tax was less than most mail order places
want for shipping. The mounting was about $10 each carry in and around
$1 to balance.

If you have looked in the catalogs for these tires you know that is a
steal!

Also I just took the front back because I got a defect and wasn't charged
to mount or balance the replacement. Not that I should because it wasn't
my fault but it sure wasn't his either and I would bet lots of shops
wouldn't cover it

Yes this is gonna be a plug but also some good advise...Anyone near SW PA
try Cycle Service Center @ 412-650-9650
I don't know if he will ship tires but it may be worth checking if you
have a way to get them mounted.
He also uses a very nice rim-clamp type tire machines that won't damage
your rims.
