[ST] Stupid suspension questions

Hello folks!

I've put 100 miles on my sprint already, and finally the shine has worn off
enough for me to want to deal with the suspension.  I'm a pretty big guy,
around 270 pounds.  So, I have some questions for you.

Spring pre-load:

What is pre-load?

Do I turn the big screws or the nuts at the base to adjust it?

Rear damping:  can I just adjust the pre-laod for now, and leave the
damping?
