Re: [ST] fuel sender



I mentioned this offline to someone, but I guess I'll go public and risk a
flame war.

If this truly is a long going problem, then it seems to me Triumph doesn't
know how to handle it's suppliers.  In my experience, when a supplier screws
up and parts start failing in production (or out in the field) things hit
the fan.  Especially when things get in the field, recalls and warranty
fixes cost more and damage reputation.

Why doesn't Triumph force the supplier to change the recipe or do their own
DFA to determine the problem and recommend a fix (possibly changing the
sealing material) to the supplier.  Issue a SCAR to the supplier, get the
problem fixed so it never repeats, or cut the cord and find a new supplier.
If it's a custom part, then change the design to use something off-the-shelf
that's known to work and not leak and use that instead.
