Some of this has made me smile... ~:)

I've just done a DIY 12k+Y2 (the bike is 2 years old, and has done 9k
miles).

My fuel filter cost me GBP 13.99 (inc VAT), to which I suppose you could add
another GBP 9.21 for the necessary gasket replacement. But these are parts
only charges.

I'm surprised they changed the plugs. I reckon a lot of places do this for
the sake of it - to earn a few quid more. I wouldn't have skimped on the
brake seals though.

I came off lighter with only 3 valves out of spec (1IR, 2IL &2IR - all
tight).
