Re: [ST] Hard bags (Panniers) worth it?

Scott,

Being able to get factory hard bags was one of the prime reasons for me
getting the ST. It rains here in the Pacific Northwest a good part of the
year and I ride year round, so having a dry, lockable place to put my helmet
and briefcase/laptop bag isn't an option I can do without.

I guess if I just rode for recreation it would be different, but as a
commuter I just can't imagine having a bike without them.

In fact after 15 months with just the sidebags, I've finally broken down and
am adding the top box this weekend, as during the winter there are times
when I need more storage than just the two side bags can provide.
