[ST] Battery and Fuse Problems

Hi,
Has anyone else had a problem with the engine management light? My
battery was fully charged just 4 days ago, and I ride everyday. But
this morning it was completely discharged. I doubt that I left the
parking light on, the bike is parked in the garage and the parking light
would be hard to miss. Now that I've charged the battery, the dashboard
engine management light comes on. According to the owners manual, I'm
in "limp home mode." The recent battery problems I've read about here
(I'm using the digest) didn't include the engine management light problem.
Also, can anyone provide a fuse listing for the 01 ST? I decided to
check the fuses and things got really con-fuse-ing. :-) My owner's
manual lists the amp ratings for 11 fuses and the inside fusebox cover
shows 2 rows of 5, plus 1 main fuse. But the actual fusebox has 2 rows
of 6 fuses, plus 2 main fuses. The functions for each fuse listed in
the manual are wrong. I tried figuring out which fuse went to which
circuit by removing them, but it started to get complicated, and I'm too
concerned about the engine management light to keep messing around with
it. I assume the owner's manual has not been updated as yearly changes
were made. Have you noticed that the US owner's manual does not
identify the year of the bike? Shoulda bought that shop manual! Thanks
in advance for any comments.
John
