I haven't tried it on my alarm, but I expect you could simply ground the
wire to any part of the frame.  Alternatively, you could use automatic
arming mode and adjust the motion detector; mine was really sensitive when
first installed with the detector directly across the line of the bike, but
a dealer adjusted it later to be slightly fore-and-aft and it now requires
quite a bit of movement of the bike to set off the alarm.

The alarm also has a ferry mode where the motion detector is disabled - this
might be of use for you.  If you ever take the bike on ferries or
auto-trains then it's very useful.

One more hint that's in the archives but you may not have seen; the Veto
alarm can be sensitive to radio interference.  If you happen to park near a
transmitter and can't start the bike because the alarm won't disable using
the remote control, try pushing the bike behind the nearest building to
screen it from the radio transmissions and then use the remote control
again.  It's only happened to me three times in three years though.
