[ST] RE: Back Packs

Lots of tank bags can double as a carry bag. Many have quick releases, a
carry handle and some sort of strap that you can throw over your shoulder.
My Tour Master, which I think is an excellent tank bag has all three. I
will admit that performance off the bike as a carry bag is only marginal
however. I wonder if other tank bags wont be the same.

Consider getting a top rack. Not a top box but just the rack portion. You
can strap just about anything you want to the rack. Very convenient and
gives you a lot of options. This is what I do and it works very well.

I would avoid wearing a back pack while riding. Too many possible
negatives, especially in a get-off and too many other alternatives.
Admittedly, the other alternatives are all more expensive. Some packs come
with a belly band or waist strap. This might help the problem of them
riding up your back. Cant offer any ideas for the problem of getting it on
over the mesh jacket.

One more idea. What about a butt/waist pack? If your items are small and
few this might be an option. They actually come in some fairly large sizes.
Jamminleather.com has some good ones cheap. I have a couple of them and
they work fine. I swivel them around and they sit on the seat behind me.
