I've had my orange 2000 RS for almost 3 years and over 20,000
miles.

Absolutely,... best thing I added on (except for GIVI 28 liter
hard bags).

If you can find it, use it... it's fine.

I've had three Hinckley Triumphs since '95 and my only problem
was a broken clutch cable..
