Just don't make too much of a habit of covering that front brake.

The instant reaction is to grab a big handful of brake. It seems to me that 
the time it takes to get your fingers on the lever gives your brain time to 
make sure you don't OVERREACT!! (I have seen someone covering their front 
brake lock up the wheel.. Not good.)
