Hmmm, maybe a 5 day weekend is in order.

1 day to bottom of the BRP
1 day up to deals gap area along BRP with of course some side travel
1 day at the gap with fellow ST'rs

option a: retrace steps back to Dallas
option b: some other 2 day trek back to dallas.

only PITA, slab from dallas to bottom of the BRP is real borring! ~900
miles, so it is not for the week of heart, or butt for that matter.
