While I don't care for the Gatlinburg suggestion (I stay in Townsend when I
take a long weekend from Atlanta up that way. Less crowded), you have it
right about the Foothills Parkway.

One of the undiscovered/underated rides in the area. A road from nowhere to
nowhere but it does have some interesting qualities. Fun to turn the motor
off at the campground at the top of the mountain and coast the 7-8 miles
down to Hwy29. Just the constant left/right sweepers that I
like..............
