RE: [ST] Coolant Leak

> Anyone else have a coolant leak like this?>
My Sprint RS sometimes leaks from the holding tank cover on hot days when I
ride a while or hard accelerations. Other than that no.

Yes, im afraid mine did the same last summer (looks outside at the wet salty
UK roads with a tear in eye) it's down to poor finishing of the plastic
bottle where the black cap should seat. There were quite a few bikes
produced with this problem. The factory repair is to put a rag in the top
of the tank and just 'prune' or file the top of the plastic to get a good
seat. If that doesn't work put a SMALL amount of silicon sealant inside the
groove on the cap and reseat it, that will definitely work. Obviously when
you add more coolant, which should not be necessary unless changed, you will
need to add more sealant. BTW don't forget to remove the rag!!!!
