In your message regarding [ST] uses for accessory plug in dated Wed, 20 Feb
2002 22:30:34 -0700, Dave O said that ...
>DO-
>DO- What else can you use the accessory plug other than heated clothing?
>DO-
>DO- Can the plug be used for anything that works in a cigarette lighter
plug in?
Yes, provided that you:
1. Make an adapter using a BMW plug and a cigarette lighter socket joined
together with a couple of bits of wire. Remember to get the polarity right
- - the centre pin is +ve.
or
2. If the wire on the appliance has a cigarette lighter plug on it that has
NO voltage reduction/increase circuitry in it then cut that plug off and
wire up a BMW plug to the appliance as without the red insert it can be
used on the bike and with the red insert it can be used in a car cigarette
lighter socket.
