First day ride

The 'old Rude Dog had a great New Year's day ride also. Left about noon
from north of Dallas and around 40 degrees. No heated liner but long
johns, sweatshirt and my Motoport Canyon jacket.
The roads were clear of traffic and the wind wasn't too bad. I tried a
Zyflex balaclava and it did great. Nice to finally have the throat and
chin comfy.
Thought all the Dallas area Dawg's were probably watching the football
games on the tube so went solo. At least I didn't have to worry about
which next great road I took Steve!
Oh yea Steve, I think I have your problem with cold toes solved. Since
you are from Arkansas, or spend a lot of time there, have you tried
riding with shoes?
Honestly, I did notice that with my regular boots and insulated socks I
was fine if I kept the pad of my feet on the pegs. Wherever I let the
arch area ride the peg my toes did start to cool off.
	Good riding to all.
