[ST] Break-in ride in Tallahassee

Just took off of work this morning where the tempature is a merciful 65 
approaching 70 degrees to slog my new ST through it's break-in.  It was a 
beatiful cloudless day and I really like this bike.  I was grinning from ear 
to ear.

With only 280 miles I am supposed to keep it under 5000 RPM.  Is this a 
break-in for the bike or the rider?
