[ST] lower side fairing (aka bellypan)

FYi, FWIW, ETC...

I've learned through my local dealer that one side
lower fairing (only 1/2 of the belly pan) is just
under $200usd, something like $188.xx.

To quote the parts manager at the shop (who was
unaware of the price until he looked it up for me),
"They sure are proud of their plastics aren't they?"

I'm afraid to see how much a full fairing costs.  I'm
glad I dont have to replace any of those, I figure I'd
be looking at $300usd or more.

I could never imagine plastic being so expensive. 
I've got friends who could make carbon fiber at the
same or less cost and another who could do very high
quality fiberglass...might be an interesting side project...
