I don't pay anything extra, as I wait until a scheduled maintenance, at 
which time my dealer downloads the latest tune and resets the CO(2) as 
part of the service. (Dealer also did it for "free" when he installed my 
race can.) If you can't wait until then, some dealers charge and others 
don't. IMHO, I'd prefer to pay a small fee to make sure that the 
mechanic spends the appropriate amount of time to make sure the engine's 
at the right temperature and that he does an accurate job of setting the 
CO(2). (Yes, the engine has to be at a particular temperature before the 
mechanic can download a new tune.) IMHO, I think the CO(2) setting is 
probably one of the most important settings as it has a strong impact on 
mileage and engine performance.
