[ST] Electric Vest Thermostat

I'd love to take credit for this but, alas, whilst perusing my "local" shop
today (150 mile round trip, haven't been in a while and a couple
comments/observations to follow in another post) I noticed something on a
Tiger and asked the owner about it. I've always kinda just left my vest
thermo hanging around somewhere near the left side (where it plugs to the
vest on a Widder). Never been really comfy with that. Well, this guy did
the following and I tried it out when I got home and it works great. Attach
a neoprene pad (he used a mousepad, I used a drink coaster) to the back of
your thermo and leave about 3 inches of excess on the "top" side of the
thermo. Then, just open your seat, insert the pad and latch your seat. It
holds the thermo perfectly in place and won't scratch your finish plus you
know exactly where to find the adjustment knob. I bought 1/4" longer machine
screws for the Widder thermo and used small washers to secure the pad. Nice
part is when you tighten the screws the pad compresses so the screws won't
scratch either. Neat.
