[ST] TR Quality/Tune

I have been a lurker on the list for quite some time
and thought it is time to jump in. I have a 2001 RS in
Lucifer Orange with 6K miles now and love it. I sold
my previous 96 Sprint to buy this one. A lot of
questions have been asked about the build quality and
I offer my experience. I have not had a mechanical or
electrical failure on either bike, ever. Fit and
finish is not quite up to the benchmark, Honda, but
equal to most everyone else. I put a TBR race can on
(purchased from my dealer) and he also upgraded the
tune for after I installed it at no charge. If you get
the TBR can, you really need the new tune. The bottom
was very soft and lean with the TBR can and changed
into a new bike with the new map. The top end and mid
range is much stronger than it was. The height the
front end comes up in a second gear roll on is my
dyno. I have comfortably done 500 mile days with no
regrets or sore spots. I have also never had a 600
"race ready" rocket get away from me and only slighly
lag 929/R1's on a straight aways. I have nothing but
praise for the bike thus far and the dealer, D and D
