Re: [ST] too soon for a tire thread?

I was at the Cycle World show in Philly this past weekend and checked
out the new Sport TEC it seems very soft.. I'll bet it'll out stick
the GTS but it's gonna wear quick! They do have the round profile,
and the new winding technology seems cool, but my guess is that it's
a 5K set of tires, or about 20% less than the GTS's Still I think
I'll try a set this year frankly if I can get 6K out of a rear I'm
happy. I've been getting almost 8 out of the GTS's and the fronts
would go 10k except they seem to get a bit cupped and the ride starts
to go at about 8k of course YMMV. I've also though about trying the
Michlin Pilot Sports what kind of mileage can I expect from those ..
anyone??
