RE: [ST] Bars, Randy

>Have you ever ridden an RS?

No.

>I attribute that to the angle,
although that does seem counter-intuitive.

Nothing seems intuitive or counter-intuitive to me any more 8>). If your
wrists demand more of an inward angle that's the way it is. The reason I
was worried about the angulation of the helibar was because Mike wrote that
the front of the bar was actually 1" forward of the stock bar. However, the
helibar people claim that their bars are 1 1/2" more set-back toward the
rider than the stock bars. A triumph dealer explained that both are correct
and that's where the angulation comes in. The combination of the front
being 1" forward of stock, and the bar-ends being 1 1/2" more rear set than
stock produces quite a "V" shape. I wasn't worried about a little more
inward angulation that stock. I am concerned about a ton of angulations
though. It made me even more concerned when all the dealers I talked to
recommended the gen-mar raisers over the helibars for the sprint ST. That's
not a knock on helibars, they all thought highly of them as long as the
helibar was made for a particular bike. I've ridden a VFR with helibars and
I loved them, but they were made specifically for the VFR, however, the
helibar kit for the ST is an adaptation of their generic touring bar.

BTW, my name is Val not Vickie, and I'm a guy.
