[ST] wiring ST socket.......???

So I got my plug for the ST socket and I'm wiring it up.

A quick check just to make sure nothing amiss turns odd.

Looks like center plug in the socket is ground (at least I'm getting
continuity from center plug to engine cases and batt - ).

And continuity from ring to +12. Is this right? I was pretty surprised -
opposite of standard cig lighter socket stuff (or did I get one with the
socket wired backwards?).

Anyone care to clear up the confusion..........was my assumption wrong? glad
I didn't plug anything in. Assumption is that center was fused/hot.

Not on this one.
