My Official Triumph Service manual has schematics for 99,00 ST's and all
years RS's. In all cases they show the Accessory Power Socket to be wired as
follows. +12 V to P(1) and ground to B(2). The diagram showes the socket
with two leads, one labeled P (wire goes to fuse panel +12 vdc), the other
labeled B going to ground. The schematic for the socket showes wire labeled
P connteted to #1 on socket and wire labeled B to #2 on Socket. I just went
out an measured my 00 ST and it has +12 V on the center pin and the case
(ring) is ground.
