[ST] Re: 'Wolf' can Fitting

Yes, the quality to price ratio on Wolf's products is excellent (they have
also just started making a complete 'under-seat' system for the Sprint ST,
which looks superb).

Wolf supply a connection-pipe with their silencers but, as I found out
myself when trying to fit the can with Triumph OE hard-panniers, you need to
fabricate a 'bracket' to get the pipe to fit. As supplied the pipe will fit
ok with the standard set-up (no panniers) but not with panniers (even with
the lowering bracket). It was a bit of a chew getting everything
sorted/lined-up (I ended up using a modified engine hanging bracket from a
Ford Pinto Engine!) but the effort was worthwhile: the pipe sounds superb,
producing a very deep and mellow sound, not too loud but a tad more so than
the Triumph race-can. Mail me if you want some pictures mailing to you of
how it looks on my ST.

As for your 'brake-pad' dilemma, if I was you I would fit them yourself. Get
a Haynes manual, its only a 10minute job and you certainly don't need a
degree in rocket-science to complete it! By the way, although this is a
personal view; stick with OE pads, I have tried a variety of different makes
and for all-round ability and feel they are still the best.

UK Dave
