[ST] Re: brakepad mileage and rotors



My front brake pads on the '99 lasted over 30k miles, and the rear was still
OEM when I traded it in with 45k.  So I would say the pads are a hard
material, and apparently I don't drag the brakes much :)

I'm thinking I'll replace them anyway "while I'm at it", but is it
necessary?  Do the pads get hardened or glazed after a while, or do the
stock pads just have a hard compound that lasts a long time?  Granted, I
do a lot of touring.
