A very stiff rear suspension, and the pillion mate leaning back against the
top case, will open your eyes up wide. Nothing like a surprise wheelie to
top off a ride.

The dealer left the chain adjustment clamp bolt loose at the 600 mile
service. Twenty miles of semi-sedate riding later, the eccentric rotated
enough to take up all the chain slack. Thus, the rear had no give. This is
dangerous as hell, stresses the driveline, in addition to simply murdering
the handling. The front suffers just as much. It washed out hard in a low
speed (thankfully) turn in this condition, which started the hunt for the
mechanic's boo-boo.
