[ST] ST mirror extensions

Got tired of not being able to see behind me, so I made up some half inch
mirror extensions.
I got a chunk of 6061-T6 aluminimun and I took my mirror off the bike and
used the base of the mirror
to scribe the shape of the mirror base on the aluminimum. Next I drilled the
holes for the bolts. Then I
used a jig saw to rough saw the shape staying outside the lines. Then I took
both extensions and bolted them together to form one solid piece. I mounted
up an 80 grit sanding disk to my table saw and ground the final shape. I
next used a wire wheel to finish off parts. I was going to get them alodined
till I found out what it costs, so I just painted them black. I had to buy 4
bolts one half inch longer that the originals to mount them up. The whole
thing took about 2 hours not counting drying time for the paint.
They move the mirrors out one half inch on each side work very well and I
can now see cars which pull up right behind me at stop lights. I'll download
some pics so you can see what they look like.
