The "published" weight difference between the ST & RS, 18 lbs
(~8kg), is unlikely to warrant a different spring rate.

Do you mean do they tell "little white lies" as to the true
weight? Absolutely! But most mfgs do. I haven't had my ST on a
calibrated scale, but when I weighed the Trophy, I found the real
world, full tank, ready to ride weight to be 102 lbs. (~46kg)
over the published dry weight. And that was with the bags off!

A while back someone---was it bare?---reported the actual
weights.
My guess is there will be a porportional discrepency on the ST &
RS.
