Actually it's called the Pan-European here :-) still the ST1100

Yamaha FZS600/S and FZS1000, popular with newcomers (or born-agains) as it is
very forgiving, lightweight and inexpensive

I haven't seen *that* thread - do start it please, it might sidetrack the tyre
