Old Shep ('00 ST) used to do this from time to time, usually when the
engine had just been restarted hot. A couple of times I nearly dropped the
old boy because the engine stalled just as I was pulling away.
Since I had the idle mixture richened up from its EPA-starved level to
where it should be, the problem has completely gone. Doing this is going to
be a little more difficult with the closed loop system...
Is making the idle mixture non-adjustable an EPA thing? I know the old
carby Sprints had the idle mixture screws blanked off.
