Re: [ST] new subject: ST & wheelies

I don't know? What you're describing sounds like a 2nd gear wheelie. My
owners manual shows the 00 ST & RS geared the same. When I wheelie my RS in
1st my RPM's are around 4500-5000 then I just wick it and wahooo! Now in
2nd gear I have the RPM's up to about 6000-6500 (who knows maybe 7K), then a
quick off to full so I load the front and with the help of fork spring
action and alittle tug I lift it.

I currently running 19/43, shortly going to 18/43 hoping that I can power
wheelie in 2nd with no effort from the springs or me.

I'm not an expert by any means though. I've had my RS nearly a year and
I've only wheelied maybe 12-15 times in a safe place (empty lot or deserted
road). I'll admit I'm a bit chicken and I don't want to crash my baby so I
do it very cautiously if/when at all.

P.S.
Works much better on cold days, say 70 or less. Love that dense cold air.
Does wonders for HP increase. I almost power wheelied in 2nd with no effort
on a brisk 55 degree Florida day.
