There is some wind noise, but almost dead quiet with the ear plugs in, too.
Much less noise than with my old Shoei RF-700.  But I think that is a
function of better fit and tighter padding since the other Shoei was getting
worn out.

All in all, I love the helmet.  I did buy one of the blue shields for it and
it does not fit as tight as the clear and smoke ones that came with it.  But
it is only a problem if you get a side wind coming in.  And by that time I
am worried more about getting blown around than the noise in the helmet.

So, yes I love the helmet and would recommend it to anyone.  Did an 8 hour
round trip to Minnesota last year and no problems with hearing after the
ride.
