[ST] Re: st-digest V2002 #291

Ralf,
I forgot to mention I have Gen Mar bar risers so that
put's me up a bit and being shortish and old I tend to
ride towards the front of the seat and more upright. Speed
definitely seems to effect where the wind hit's me and at
70-80mph the stock screen does a good job of right in the
shoulders. When I go into a tuck it goes right over the
top of the helmet.
Cheers,
R

Subject: [ST] Re: Seats and screens

  Hi folks,

Thnaks for all the great info on . . . seats and screens. As the
stock seats are identical, I have ordered an ST Corbin "Gunfighter
and Lady" (Yeech) in carbon fibre leather. I'll let you all know
about fitment, comfort etc. in a couple of months.

As for screens, the flavour of the recommendations is that I should
try a Zero Gravity Sport Touring Screen first, and then go from
there. I was interested in Robbie's (there's a guid Scots name)
comments about the blast hitting his shoulders when he's 5'9". He
suggests our riding positions may be different. It's possible, but
THAT different? Interesting. If he had an ST I'd suggest it might be
because of the higher bars, but he's on an RS too. Maybe I go faster
(ha! not very likely). I've been thingking about other variables
while out walking the dog. Arm length and seating position are the
two I can come up with. I tend to scoot back on the seat to the
ridge, and also ride with fairly bent arms . . .

So if anybody has a ZG ST windscreen they have tried and didn't like
that needs a home, drop me a line. A couple of people said they had
ZGs I could have, (well, buy) but didn't specify the type. To all who
offered double bubbles, thank you, but I think I'll go a wee bit
  higher.

Have a good weekend-- I'm off to North Carolina! (On a plane, unfortunately)

  Ralf
