RE: [ST] tire (tyre) stuff

Check your tyres after each ride. More than once I've found a sharp object
(grit, glass, nail) starting to bite which in time may have penetrated the
tyre.

I hear that Ultraseal (http://www.ultraseal.biz) is good stuff.
