If you take all the pads out, it's an unbeatable cold/wet weather jacket due 
to the aforementioned wind/waterproof qualities, so I do this when I go 
overseas and need such a jacket.

Also...if anyone has and wants to sell or knows where I can buy one of the 
older Explorer (?) models in Large/Red, I'd be happy to get what I had 
instead of the Evolution. It was a fantastic jacket.
